Want whiter teeth without several trips to the dental office? At-home teeth whitening is a practical option. Here is how our kit with custom trays works, how much it costs and what to keep in mind for safe, good-looking results.

What’s included in the at-home whitening kit
- Custom-made trays for your teeth, so the gel stays where it should.
- 2 syringes of FGM Whiteness Perfect 16% gel (carbamide peroxide), for at-home use under your dentist’s supervision.
Kit price at Poblado Dental
- At-home kit (2 syringes + custom trays): COP 300,000 (about US$95)
- Refill syringe: COP 70,000 (about US$22)
Refill syringes may be from another brand with the same concentration, as long as your dentist confirms they are equivalent. USD amounts are estimates and may vary with the exchange rate.
How to use it, step by step
- Brush your teeth before you start.
- Place a small drop of gel on the front of each tooth inside the tray.
- Wear the trays about 2 hours a day, as directed by your dentist.
- Remove the trays, wipe off any extra gel and rinse your mouth.
- Repeat daily for as long as your dentist recommends.

Important tips
- Trays must be custom-made. Generic trays let the gel reach your gums.
- Do not use extra gel or extend the treatment just because you have product left.
- If you notice strong sensitivity or irritation, stop and message us.
- During treatment, try to limit coffee, red wine and smoking.
At-home vs. in-office whitening
In-office whitening gives results in less time, while the at-home kit works gradually at your own pace. Many patients combine both: in-office whitening first, then the at-home kit to maintain the results.
Frequently asked questions
How long does treatment take?
It depends on your case and how much gel you receive. Your dentist will tell you how many days to use it.
Does it work on fillings or veneers?
The gel whitens natural teeth, not fillings, crowns or veneers. That is why an exam before you start is important.
