Which night guard is right for me?
The dual Michigan guard, also called extra comfort, has a hard layer and a soft layer. It is the most comfortable, offers the most protection and is the one we recommend for nightly use. At your exam, we will tell you which one fits your case best.
Can I use an over-the-counter night guard?
Store-bought guards do not fit your mouth, can shift during the night and are often uncomfortable. A custom guard stays in place and is more comfortable to sleep in.
Does a night guard cure bruxism?
A night guard protects your teeth and helps your jaw relax, but it does not remove the cause. If your grinding is related to stress or other factors, your dentist can guide you.
How do I care for my night guard?
Rinse it with cool water and clean it with a soft brush after each use, keep it in its case and bring it to your checkups.
